CHOC Visit

Always an honor to help bring smiles to CHOC (Children's Hospital Orange County) patients and families. The kids got awesome Star Wars hospital gowns and lots of other goodies. The droids were interviewed in Seacrest Studios for the hospital's closed circuit TV channel, and visited patient rooms. Such an amazing place! ❤️🐻

Canyon Hills Library

Thanks to the friendly staff at the Canyon Hills Library for inviting us back. R2-D2 and BB-8 made some new friends in Anaheim Hills as Mike shared how he built his robotic replicas. Kids, including some members of a local elementary school robotics team, sat quietly and asked thoughtful questions. Everyone enjoyed getting photos taken with the droids at the end.

R2 Builders panel, San Diego ComicCon

Mike joined with a fun group of R2 builders to share how to build your own R2-D2, for a huge audience at San Diego ComicCon. The room was full and unfortunately people were turned away. Two BB-8s made appearances, as well as Chopper and a surprise visit by C3PO. Thanks to Thomas, Tony, Paul, Anastasia and everyone else for helping with droid logistics, always a challenge at this huge con.

During introductions, Mike said he also built a BB-8, which he would probably show later in the presentation. Others encouraged him to "show it NOW!" Watch the video below to see what happened next. We love William Miyamoto!

Mouse Droid builders panel, San Diego ComicCon

This group of droid builders gave their first presentation on how to build a Mouse Droid, at San Diego ComicCon. Kevin Holmes' Mousezilla, weighing 60 pounds and pulling 300+ pounds, was the star of the show. Great job, guys!
